  1. Hello:
We join with you today in celebration of Easter Sunday and all that it means.

Here at the Szépmúvéseti Múseum in Budapest we have a most glorious painting of Mary Magdalene by El Greco.

  2. Thank you and a very happy Easter to you both. I'm just back from church and about to go out to lunch to mark my birthday, but later I will look online for the painting you mention.

  6. Thanks, everyone :-) Our Easter service (Church of Scotland) was lovely and the little church was packed. We were all given a mini Easter egg on the way out, but tool boxes, Fellow Pilgrim???

We're just back from a scrumptious lunch at the local hotel and I may not eat again today.....

Yes, isn't it a wonderful statue, Annie? I loved it as soon as I saw the picture.

  10. Thanks, Barbara. Yes it has been a very special day indeed.

Indeed we saw you and were glad the sun shone for you. We'd just got back from the hotel after my birthday lunch, so full of excellent food I don't think we could have climbed the hill to join you :-)

  11. The message of Easter morning is extraordinary every year, isn't it? We celebrated it in an outdoor communion service at the edge of a loch, while dog-walkers looked on bemused at the little flock of people (plus one dog and several noisy geese!). I hope that you had an extra special and happy birthday.

  13. I had a wonderful Easter birthday, thanks, Dancing Beastie. Your lochside communion sound incredibly special. I've only been to outdoor communion services very rarely, most memorably at the hermitage on the hill above Assisi.
